Victoria Schlanser, DO, MS, FACOS, FACS is a board-certified trauma surgeon at Regional One Health’s Elvis Presley Trauma Center. Dr. Schlanser earned her medical degree at AT Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.
She completed her fellowship in adult trauma/surgical critical care at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and her general surgery residency at Midwestern University/Franciscan St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
Prior to joining Regional One Health, Dr. Schlanser worked as a trauma and burn surgeon at John. H. Stroger Hospital. Like the Elvis Presley Trauma Center, it is a level-one trauma center designed to serve the needs of the most critically injured patients.
Her research has been published in American Surgeon, Trauma Surgery & Acute Care Open, European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, and other professional journals. She is also a frequent invited lecturer and presenter at medical conferences across the country and the world.
Dr. Schlanser is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Osteopathic Association.
