Dorothy Elizabeth Parish is a Surgical Oncology Physician Assistant who is part of the UT Regional One Physicians Group. She works alongside Dr. Martin Fleming, a board-certified Surgical Oncologist who has worked in Memphis for over 28 years.
Dorothy is a clinician who specializes in the perioperative care of oncology patients with a special emphasis in caring for those with sarcoma, breast cancer, and various cutaneous malignancies. She sees patients in clinic, performs in-office procedures, first assists in the OR, and communicates between patients, staff and the surgeon to provide excellent oncology care in the Memphis area.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Medicine-Physician Assistant Studies at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. She then completed a Physician Assistant Surgical Residency at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has been caring for patients since January of 2019.
Outside of work, Dorothy is an active volunteer. She has served organizations including Rainbow Village Community Outreach and Walk with a Doc in Largo, Florida; and Mississippi Food Network in Jackson. She also took part in a mission trip to a children’s home in Mexico during PA school.
