For measurement and assessment of gait and balance during the rehabilitation of patients with walking impairments, motion and video capture is utilized. This equipment allows the therapist to develop an intervention, view a patient’s progress, and provide rehabilitation for patients affected by neurological injuries. A detailed analysis allows the clinician to have a very precise approach to intervention and focus on the main problems associated with the walking.
For gait and motion analytics, the use of multi-camera system, recorders, and motion analysis software provides therapists visual feedback during treatment sessions. In addition, motion/analysis software allows for exchange of information to aid the therapist in creating a customized/rehabilitation program for patients.
