In this season of thanksgiving, celebration and renewal, it’s important to recognize everyone in the community helping Regional One Health provide important care to make Memphis healthier.
Tammie Ritchey, senior vice president and chief development officer of Regional One Health, opened the winter issue of ONEpulse Magazine thanking everyone who contributes to help save “the lives of people you have never met.”
“I am constantly amazed by what our Regional One Health doctors and staff can do to save lives,” she wrote. “But even with the best medical talent, there are so many things that we could not do without you – our donors.”
Highlights in the latest issue of ONEpulse Magazine include:
- The heartwarming story of Louis Parrish and his unlikely journey of survival

A happy ending wasn’t a sure thing for baby Louis, but Dr. Jacques Samson and the nearly 20 medical professionals at Regional One Health’s High Risk Pregnancy Program were prepared to handle Kelly Parrish’s one-of-a-kind, high-risk pregnancy. Read about Gary, Kelly and Louis Parrish and a delivery story surely headed for medical journals.
Taking care of patients is Regional One Health’s responsibility, but it’s the generous support of donors to Regional One Health Foundation that helps make it possible. Deborah and King Johnson is a couple who follows the philosophy “To whom much is given, much is required.” That mantra only tells part of the story of why this Memphis couple is passionate about giving financially as well as with their time to Regional One Health Foundation. Every dollar donated goes directly to patient care at Regional One Health.
ONE Night Gala always is a big event on the Memphis social calendar, and the 2018 version on April 14 won’t be any different. More than a party, the funds raised through the event help Regional One Health better serve patients.
One way the 2017 Gala is helping provide life-saving care is through technology upgrades in seven of 11 operating rooms. Learn about the OR upgrades made possible by Regional One Health Foundation that includes Stryker iSuite additions to four Trauma and three Chandler operating rooms, and Labor and Delivery bed and lighting upgrades.
