The Adult Volunteer Program at Regional One Health is for individuals 18 years of age or older, and not enrolled in our College Student Volunteer Program. These volunteers work side-by-side with hospital personnel and are a valuable resource to the healthcare system. Adult Volunteer assignments exist in clinical and non-clinical locations of the hospital, including nursing units, emergency department, hospital offices, guest services, information desks and other hospitality locations.

Commitment

Volunteers of the Adult Volunteer Program are asked to make a commitment of five (5) months and provide at least 72 hours of service.  This time commitment allows the volunteer to have a real impact and provide the greatest return of personal satisfaction. Adult volunteers are asked to maintain punctuality and consistent attendance, while accomplishing the minimum service requirements.

Qualifications

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and currently not enrolled in our College Student Volunteer Program. Adult volunteers must possess a sincere interest in the mission and vision of Regional One Health, have great interpersonal skills, exemplify a positive attitude and are service oriented. The Adult Volunteers provide support to patients, families, and staff in a wide variety of roles, and are tremendous assets to the hospital. As with all volunteer opportunities here at Regional One Health, after all application materials are completed and submitted, each applicant must pass a background check, complete tuberculosis screening and immunization review, and attend a Volunteer Orientation.
