Meet Our Medical Director
Erica L. Mitchell, MD, EdM, FACS, DFSVS, DABS is a world-renowned expert in minimally invasive vascular and endovascular surgery.
She earned her medical degree at University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, then completed her general surgery residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and her vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Mitchell’s interest in vascular and endovascular surgery started during her time at Denver General Health Medical Center, a Level-1 Trauma Center similar to Regional One Health. Her mentor, a trauma surgeon, performed a lot of vascular procedures, and she was fascinated by how it could be used on the smallest veins and arteries and for large, life-threatening injuries.
